Front end swap

I’m sure I’m posting this in the wrong section so please don’t jump all over me. I have a 2006 extended cab Silverado. It was involved in a wreck before I got it in the passenger fender, Hood, headlights, grill, and driver side door have damage and needs to be replaced. The truck has had a rough life and isnt worth anything so I don’t want to spend a fortune putting it back together. My uncle has a 2002 GMC sierra that he is willing to give me if the parts will interchange with mine. So with that being said, is it possible to put a 2002 GMC front clip on a 2006 Silverado?

Probably.  From swapping fenders and doors on my '04 sierra, I've found they are mostly the same, just over time, the bits are improved (say, an extra hole for a wiring harness support, or an additional brace, stuff like that).

 

I would expect you have to transfer over most of the front end parts, including the bumper.

 

One thing I would be concerned with, is the damage to the drivers door, if it's also bent/moved where the hinges are.  They are welded to the cab, and if they've been bent/moved, I would expect it to be hard to get them back in the right place, and it sucks if you have to cut them off and mount new bolt-on hinges, as it's hard to get them in just the right spot (the P.O. of my truck didn't get them in the right spot, and just for good measure, welded the hinges to the body anyway, and then for the trifecta, didn't put in all the bolts, so water would leak into the cab all the time through the unplugged bolt hole).
