I did exactly that. From the mid 80s to the mid 2000s. My gooseneck trailer had 8 tires inflated cold to the recommended tire pressure. I traveled hauling my equipment through hot to cold climate and back. I never had a tire issue. I can say that now retired and not jinx myself. I used the best tire at the time with the highest ply and load rating. Michelin tires

Yea I'm just going to keep on like I have been doing. Havent had any problems yet. I also pull over after about an hour and check all 8 tires psi and hub temps. I dont want any blowouts.

I'm about to replace my stock P rated tires with LTs and that will help tremendously

I hauled an 14k tractor on a 7K trailer. Once moving I didn’t worry about it. I did carry a pipe in the bed of my one ton along side my 100gal fuel tank to check tires for inflation.

I have nothing to add!  I just thought to myself that we are getting into generations of folks that really had to ask about this???  This is not directed at the OP.  This is an overall observation.  Gone are the days when you simply knew simple crap like this and you could fill your own wiper fluid reservoir by yourself without asking if you put too much in.  I say all this in jest.  Never mind, I didn't, we are getting dumber by the day when it comes to vehicles.

Whew man... that's sketchy. My uncle hauled a 6k tractor on my 3500lb single axle trailer and it did just fine, but I wouldn't have chanced it. I'll go rent or borrow the appropriate trailer before I destroy my personal trailer. But I also have plenty of access to borrow much bigger trailers than my 1/2 ton should be pulling as well

You can’t them off their devices enough to learn. My new driving grandson was over my house last night by himself the first time. They have been in their new house for almost two years. We’ve been here 20. He had to set his phone GPS to get home. I told him you should have looked where you were going all those years.

I did demos for the entire dot departments in Florida in 93. At that time with a 91 3/4 ton diesel, same trailer and same type tractor. We sold 200 of them. I delivered a good portion. I would do the training on the equipment as well as demos. Good trailer brakes and loading know how are the key.

Yea, it's never the trailer I'm worried about. Always the tires and axles.
