1995 Tahoe Quits running while driving

I have a 1995 Tahoe, 4WD, 350 5.7 liter. It has 214,000 miles on it.  About a month ago, it started stalling out.  It will be running fine, then suddenly, when pulling away from a stop light, or stop sign, it will

start sputtering like it is running out of gas.  Then it just stops running.  It usually cranks right back up, but sometimes, it will not crank right away.  It smells like it is flooded out. I have never had any problems with it,

and have changed the distributor cap and rotor, this is not the problem.  Any ideas???

Flooded out?,when it's dark out,lift hood a little, enough to look in at plug wires,see if they are arcing to ground

When you say "cranks" do you mean it turns over or it starts? Replace "cranks" with "starts”. Have you figured out the problem?
