Good job, I did similar but I wanted it a bit more stealth.  Mine is mounted behind the grill by the bottom opening, made some brackets and suspended it right behind the opening and using a wireless controller to operate it to turn on/off/strobe.  I also wanted to be able to pull it out in the future, so nothing fully modified other than a couple of small holes to bolt my brackets the truck radiator supports.
