My 95 C1500 is more fun than my 02 K1500??

Something weird going on here. I think I like my 95 C1500 MORE than my 02 K1500?!?

I have owned my 02 since May. I bought this 95 about 3 weeks ago.

It sounds better, drives better. What's going on here??

Am I cracking up??

But I am the type that likes to stay busy all the time. Hell, on my 02 there is NOTHING to do, except clean/wash it.

On my 95, I can do alot of things that improve the truck without costing a fortune, such as a tune-up, etc...

I like to start with something that needs some TLC, give it the TLC, and watch the everyday "improvements"

The worst thing I can do to myself is buy something new; it drops in value like a rocket and there is nothing to do.

Can do mods; but that is the type of $$$ you will never see again

red/silver 2-tone

350 TBI, 4-speed auto

flowmaster with duals

just an all-around COOL truck

Just thinking out loud

I tell you what. Seeing you like the old ones, I will trade you your 02 straight across for my 95.

Seriously though. Do you have a pic of your truck? I have a red long bed that I was toying with the idea of painting the bottom silver.

Painting the bottom silver eh...Have you ever thought of adding the chrome kickplates? They really set a truck off IMO. I thought they were factory as I've seen a lot of them (including mine which I bought 3rd hand). Shouldn't be too expensive and will save the paint work.

Actually I am not a chrome kind of guy. I just removed the chrome fender covers yesterday and painted the wheels black. Soon I am going to powdercoat the wheel trim rings, front, and rear bumpers black chrome. That will get rid of all of the silver chrome on the truck. Then see what it looks like all with the red paint. If I am still not happy I will paint the bottoms this dark silver metallic paint I have laying around the garage.

Actually, on my 95 the two-tone is different than what you guys may have.

top of truck to upper "beltline" RED

middle of truck SILVER

bottom "beltline"; rockers, etc RED

Different, huh?

Not too many around like that anymore.

Have had thoughts about a solid color; but just thoughts so far
