I need some help. I have a 2020 Canyon Denali, and want to tap the mirror for power to a radar detector that I plan to mount via a BlendMount. I bought the MirrorTap from BlendMount, but am unsure of what plug to tap. I tried unplugging the middle plug in the picture below, but after tugging for a bit, I gave up as I didn't want to damage anything.

Is the middle plug the one I would use to tap, even if I sprung for the Gen5DIY harness? Is there a button that needs to be pressed to separate the plug? Is the middle plug the right one to do this?

Thanks all for any help you can provide.

I assume you’re going to back probe the mirror pins with the supplied wiring?

Power is violet with green stripe (at the top row second from left) and ground is black (top row fifth one from left)

Hope this helps

THANK YOU for the excellent response! I'm going to use a BlendMount MTX -1015 tap kit.

Just out of curiosity, is the big plug on the right a collision camera of some sort? Also, IF I wanted to install a Gen5DIY Plug n Play, is it the middle plug that would be used, and is there a button somewhere to release it from its female counterpart?

Thanks again for the information, I do appreciate it.

Yes that’s the forward collision camera don’t touch it.

I have no idea what a plug and play is but must likely they would use that connector

The release tab is on the top. A small 90 degree hook would be your friend there. Picture for reference

I used a Clear-Adhesive Hook product from Lowes.  (Command Small 3-Pack Clear Adhesive Wire Hook (0.5-lb Capacity) 17067CLR-ES at Lowes.com)

Item #127509 Model #17067CLR-ES   It was easy to attach and remove without scaring the bezel.
