Cold start problems,,

So, the last week or so I noticed when I start up first thing in the morning, it's kind of rough. 2012 Silverado, 5.3, 160,000 miles. It will drag for a second, then start but takes a few second for idle to level off. Almost like it wants to die. No codes yet. The battery is probably 4 years old. Any ideas?

Vehicle maintenance history?

Old plugs etc.

Check the battery voltage with a DVM before starting.

Top Tier gas?

Try a fuel system cleaner. Easy. Cheap.

Plugs and wires were all changed 20,000 miles ago. I usually run Shell or Exxon gas ( No Walmart, or anything like) I run Techron cleaner maybe every couple of months. Just cleaned the MAF last week, it had started this issue before then.

Could it be possible your air/gas mixture isn’t optimal ? Try hitting the air mass flow sensor while running and see if it stutters ?
