N192273510   B+ battery cable to alternator loosen over time due to glue contamination. Parts currently on back order.

I'm not taking it in for this and have them ruin something else. 20K and no issues.

I had that checked last month, all they do is check for glue so there's not too much chance of them breaking anything doing that.

Had that looked at, I got the recall notice a month ago or so. It took them just a few minutes. No glue on mine.

2019 Silverado RST.  Just got this recall.  I was just at the dealer last week (twice) for the following repairs due to recall(s) - 1. Brake system malfunction, 2. Seatbelt pretensioner fire, 3. Loose battery cable.

Had the dealer “correct” the recall issues, but then my truck wouldn’t start the next day.  Tested the battery and it said “bad”.  Soon as I connected the jump cable to the negative cable I got sparks.  The battery was fine, but something wasn’t relaying the power correctly.  Had to go back to dealer and informed them that I had electrical smells coming off the engine once I got it jumped.  The dealer said they couldn’t find any issue and didn’t get any electrical smells.  Now, we have a loose alternator cable due to excessive glue.

I only have 4,100 miles on this truck, and I’ve already experienced “reduced engine power” while driving on the highway.
