If you ever looked at my signature, you'd notice that I collect old Honda minibikes. Here is the latest one I've picked up. It's a very limited edition 1986 Z50RD Chrome Special.

My first dirt bike.....Brings a tear to my eye.

Of course, mine was more like a 77-80 YM, and not chrome. But I ran that thing into the ground, and graduated to a Yammy Trial 80 in short order.

I put lots of miles on it, those things are great.

How much are they going for these days?

I paid $775.00 for the chrome one and had to drive 200+ miles each way to Columbus to pick it up. I thought it was still a good deal because the "Chrome Specials" are going for over $1000.00.

The Late 60's and early 70's Z50R's (the ones with no rear suspension/hardtails) easily bring over $1000 if they are half decent and run. I have seen near perfect original unrestored bikes go for $2500. My buddy sold his restored '71 for $1800 about 4 years ago.

(BTW, I pulled that wheelie when I shifted into second gear, and about 40 feet after the picture was taken, the little monster threw me off!!! LOL!!! )

xcanuc, I see you are into street/sport bikes too... That's pretty cool!!! I also see you have some "modded" golfcarts.

Anothor toy I have is a 1998 ClubCar golfcart with 6" of lift and 10" ITP polished aluminum wheels wearing Carlisle Trail-Wolf 22x10x10 tires.

My buddy is making a monster cart from a first generation Yamaha cart. He fabbed the lift kit himself, and it is 7-8". The kicker is going to be that he is shoe-horning a 550cc twin 2-stroke snowmobile motor into it!!!

Here is a pic of my ClubCar Cart...

Have you ever done a rebuild on any of your bikes? Mine will probably need it soon. When ever I get around to it I am going to put a leakdown test on it. I can kick start it with my hand easily so I think it has probably lost some compresion.

Marshall, I have never had to touch the motors on my bikes except to tighten the timing chain. One of my CT70's has a fresh rebuild on it before I bought it. My chrome 50 will need redone in a year or so, because it will start to puff a little smoke when idling for long periods meaning the exhaust valve seal is going bad...

I have had way too many bikes over the years but one that I have always wanted but never got was a GTS1000. I rode one when they were new. It was awesome with that front end.

As far as for the golf carts, I have/had an EZ-GO that was pretty decent until 2 months ago when I moved to my new house. I was driving down this country 2 lane road towing a little trailer with the golf cart on it at about 60 mph when my truck started surging. When I looked in the mirrors to start pulling over to the side I noticed the trailer was fishtailing. I rolled off the gas hoping it would straighten out but it only got worse. It finally went side to side so violently it was flipping up and smashing into my tailgate. Well needless to say it finally came loose started following me down the road then took a right turn and flipped over. Luckily no one was anywhere close to me. That would have been ugly.

I managed to flip everything over hook it all back up and still drive the cart onto the trailer but the cart bodywork and top were destroyed. The frame was bent also. So I am looking for another EZ-GO to hack up the 2 of them and make a limo cart and maybe put a hummer front clip on it.

As for the Yamaha I am in the process of building the lift kit for that right now. I am hoping to have that done by new years.

Steve

BTW The reason the trailer started fishtailing was because the guy that I borrowed the trailer from didn't tighten the wheel lug nuts. So if you have or borrow a trailer double check them. It drove fine before it just let loose.
