I thought so as it has been working fine for the last week but the exact same problem happened again this morning. Back to square one I guess.

You mean it has a CEL again?

If so, it's still not a 'remote start' issue.

Dan - Did you ever get this issue resolved? I'm having the exact same issue on a 1500 with the 3.0 diesel. Remote start fails from time to time, but only when it's colder out (below 45º F). The CLE clears itself after a few days.

Have you found out what code is popping YOUR cel?

Seems like this is the question that rarely gets answered.  I recommend everybody buy a cheap scanner at their auto parts store, and keep it in the truck.  This way, when a CEL turns on you can find out what it is and be able to tell the dealer when you take it in, even if the light has since turned off.  The other option is to immediately call OnStar and ask them to run a diagnostic and email you the info so you can provide proof to the dealer.  I've utilized both options in other cars.
