2014-2018 flip kit questions

I have a 2017 Silverado 2wd and previously had it reverse leveled (removed stock blocks and installed a 2-3" drop shackle). Yesterday I installed a 5-6" flip kit by maxtrac ( https://www.americantrucks.com/max-trac-56-adjustable-rear-flip-lowering-kit-0718-silverado-1500.html ) and the truck barely looks dropped. my question is, if I installed that flip kit and left the 2-3" drop shackles will that be considered 2-3" lift shackles now or will it still be considered 2-3" drop shackles? Ive seen other drop kits that come with new shackles that look smaller/shorter than the stock shackles so now im super confused. Would putting the stock shackle back on drop the truck or lift it?

 

A. 5-6" flip kit + 2" drop shackles= 7-8" drop?

B. 5-6" flip kit+ 2" drop shackles= 4" drop?

If you use drop shackles with a flip kit you are raising it up if you put it on the "highest" setting.  To make the truck as low in the rear use the stock shackle.

Correct you need to use the stock shackle for the full drop. You may bottom out on the bump stops going that low. So B. Is the answer. That's why the 3-4 flip kit comes with new shackles

Yea I was checking last night on my buddies stock truck and the hangar was flipped on this kit too so drop shackles are definitely lifting it. Definitely going to be putting the stock shackles back in to achieve the full 6” drop like I planned for
