AEM intake

Just picked up the latest issue of truckn' and they have a AEM's new bruet force intake dyno'd on a s-10. They removed a backyard intake and replaced it with there's. Numbers before were 159.7 hp and 190.6 tq, after was 171 hp and 204 tq for a gain of 12hp and 14 tq. Has anyone dyno'd numbers from JUST a K&N fipk? I wonder which one will net in more power? I like the AEM because it comes with a heat sheild and the filter is more vertical where the K&N is more horizantal (sp) this will let more air flow in when I take the headlight out at the track. what do you guys think?

 

my truck makes 175hp and 230tq I am trying to hit 200 without heads or a cam, don't know how realistic that goal is but well see next time I go to the dyno with the new y-pipe and of course to see how bad the NX outperforms the old Venom 1000 nitrous kit. would like to see what a new intake will do
