First HD Truck

Hey everyone - just picked up a 2018 Sierra 2500 with 5500 miles on it.    So far I love this Truck!   I had 2 GM half ton's and another brand that I won't acknowledge and finally decided it was time to step up to a bigger truck.    Looking forward to reading the forums and learning all I can.    One question I did have, is the gooseneck towing capacity seems to be 13,500, which seems a bit low since earlier year models were higher.   Does anyone know why that is?   I don't have a trailer rated above 10k so it's no big deal but it just seemed odd.

It likely depends on what options the truck is equipped with.
