2016 Silverado with Sport bar

Hi guys does anyone know what Edition of Silverado comes with the sport bar?? I bought a sport bar from 5 mile app and it was missing pcs and I need to find out what model Silverado it comes on. I called dealer ship and they are asking me for last 6 on the vin number. Can anyone help me out

As far as I was aware the sport bar was just a GM accessory. Of course the truck could be ordered from the factory with it but more than likely the dealer would install it. There was the special ops edition that came with it and had special ops cut out instead of Silverado. I’m assuming you tried giving them the last 6 of your trucks VIN?

The GMC Sierra all terrain X had it for sure there a pain to install the wiring. You get a harness that goes from the fuse block to the dash, a new headlight switch, then a harness that runs from the dash to the rear. I HATED installing those.

I tried but they said the truck didn't come with it so they couldn't help me. That's bs because it's a GM after market part. I also asked if they can give me the manufacturer's number and they said they didn't know it.

What exactly are you trying to figure out? I assume you have the bar but no wiring?

The sport bar was done a few ways. First off, its a GM accessory that can fit any Silverado. You can just walk into a Chevrolet dealer and buy one for a Silverado.

Second, it was possible to order one as an LPO (limited production option) accessory when a truck was ordered. In this instance, there would be an RPO code attached to the VIN of the truck showing that the bar was ordered when the truck was built. Hence why if you gave the dealer your VIN, it didn's show it. The previous owner's VIN might have though.

The third way would have been with a special edition. The only one that they did from Chevrolet however, was the SPECIAL OPS Edition trucks, and those had a SPEC OPS stamped in the fairings instead of SILVERADO.

Bolts/nuts package is 84100435. If you need the wiring harness (you must make the center high mount light work), you can't buy the wiring outside of buying a brand new sport bar kit.
