AMP vs Lund (GMC) Bed Extender

It seems the AMP models are a lot more popular. But where I live the official GMC bed extender (made by Lund) is the same price as the AMP models. Has anyone see both, and can comment on preference?

 

Also how well do the straps work with the GMC electronic tail-gate release? In the videos they show lift the tailgate handles to release the tie downs. I am wondering if the electronic release works when gate is down.
