probably not, as the '00 z71 should be a GMT800 platform, and the '99 2500 should be a GMT400.

 

And by fit, I'm assuming you mean that it just bolts up, plug in the wiring, and it has the same body lines as the cab.

They made both trucks in 1999, so it would only work if they are the same body style trucks.

That's from the GM wiki. All 1999 NBS 2500's were light duty, no HD's. Iron headed LQ4's with 4L80e's.
