Transmission problems

I have a 2000 Silverado 5.3l I don't have a service engine soon light or any lights lighting up at all but I can drive down the road and 1-2 is just fine when it goes to 3 it will hit a spot and just rev and I let off and it will kick into 3rd but after that it will not go into overdrive at all just rev up I've replaced the a and b soloineds and the tcc and the vss sencer I've even replaced trans with a used one some thing then put in a rebuilt one and same thing I've had the Ecm flashed and I've went through the the wiring had one spot that was burnt I believe it went to a sense that was the 4x4 speed sencer right by the vss and it was wired straight to the ecm after fixed then I had flashed I had obd2 reader on it and o2 Sencers ally's it throughs and p0300 misfire

did that code reader have the ability to get codes from the tcm?  basic ones can't.

No it couldn't

I would suggest going to a parts store, as many of the larger chains have a more advanced code reader that can get codes from the tcm, but it wouldn't surprise me if this service was suspended right now.  You might want to bite the bullet and get a code reader that can.

 

Knockoff techii's aren't that expensive anymore, and they are the gold standard for getting codes from all the computers in your truck, as well as performing diagnostic and repair procedures.

There's no TCM on your truck OP. A basic code reader will display nearly every transmission-related trouble code via the PCM. I think what you need to do is have the live data reviewed as something is wrong with the truck if 3 different transmissions exhibit the same problems. Pay attention to throttle position, MAF, and MAP data as those are critical in transmission operation. Alternatively, if you can get someone with a higher end scan tool that has bi-directional controls, you could then manually command the trans shifting to rule out any problems on the control side (PCM-> trans)

Sorry, even if the tcm happens to be physically part of the ecm, it still needs a code reader that can specifically access tcm codes.
