Adding a drain plug to trans pan?

I read it again, I still don’t understand

 

they never put a 6.0 in a 2014-2015 camaro, it was a 6.2L ls3, and the supercharged zl1, and the v6.

 

there was no 6.0 motor and there was no LT motor in the camaro prior to 2016

 

so again, I ask the same question, how does an ls oil pan fit an LT motor

i might be off on my years,  the 2014-15 imight have been the last years for 6 speed in camaro, 2015 and up might be 8 speeds,   also the GTO with the 6.0 should have the trans pan. i posted the part number months ago from GM parts for the drain version

 

feel  free to do your own research , as i havnt got around to ordering the said pan yet nor am i a camaro enthusiast

5th Gen Camaro autos had L99 engines. 6.2L engine. Difference from LS3 was in the valvetrain. L99 had 400HP and VVT. LS3 42x no VVT, manual only. 04 GTO had a 4L60E 4-speed trans that used the pan from a 700R4. 05-06 GTO had a 4L65E with the same pan (although all factory "deep" volume compared to the 700R4 they were all based off of).

 

I would check the pan depth and capacity volume before adding a 5th Gen Camaro pan to a Silverado. Don't know much about this mod, just an old LS hot-rodder correcting some info. The G8 with the 6.0 L76 had a 6L80E, perhaps thats what you meant (not GTO). The recent SS (just SS, the Commodore import) also had the 6L80E. These might all be options as well.
