99-06 silverado 2wd steering stabalizers

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I recently put a 6" rough country lift with 7" pro comp coils on my 07 silverado classic 2WD I know "why lift a 2wd 6 inches" thats not the point here I'm having a hard time finding a steering stabilizer kit for the truck and was wondering if any of you know where I can find one or maybe and inter-changeable kit from a newer model possibly ? The help would be greatly appreciated thank you all

How do you add a steering stabilizer when the truck has a steering rack??

I understand with a steering rack you don't need a steering stabalizer but wouldn't it help with wheel wobble ?

Pro comp has a dual steering stabilizer kit. From looking at the blueprints, the absorber will have brackets to connect to the outer tie rod and a bracket to hook up to the crossmember. The kit runs from $110-$160. This will help keep the outer tie rod ball joint running longer, also cut down some shimmy from the wheels. Or look into “heim joint” tie rods. I recommend getting heim joint upper control arms as well as the tie rods, this will correct your angles with the RC lift. I’ve ran the RC lift and honestly you’ll always have a shimmy no matter what. Here is the part # for that stabilizer 218568. Hope this helps !
