14 Silverado front passenger door handle replacement

I have been trying to replace a missing door handle front passenger.  All the videos are for the rear or drivers side and it's not quite the same.  Help please.  I can get the handle on but the little back piece doest want to go in easy

Try loosening the screw a bit more. Be careful it doesn’t fall down into the door though. The back side has to go in first then the side that is closer to the handle. It should be very similar to the rear doors. Also pull the handle like you are opening the door and place the 2 pieces together. That’s how I did mine.
