2001 4.3L problems

Hello all,

Recently my '01 Silverado 4.3L has been having problems. It had random stalls/chugs when idling or decelerating. I replaced fuel filter and no difference. Then I replaced the fuel pressure regulator. This is the "pain in the ass to get to under the intake plenum" one. I did a test drive and made it about 3 miles before going up a hill and it felt like my throttle cable snapped. The engine rpms went to about 1000 and had no throttle response. It then died after about 5 seconds, no sputtering. My cable was intact.

I got it home and replaced TPS and IACV just trying to brute force the fix. No start. Replaced fuel pump, no start. No ECM fuses blown. Checked new FPR to see if I did it wrong, it was fine.

Was hoping to keep this truck going a few more months until I get a new one. Kind of lost here. Any help is appreciated.

any codes set

P0128, P0161 it seems that they were there before this happened.

I also replaced rotor cap and button a few months ago after a bad misfire.

161 code is in the heater cct for downstream o2 sensor

128 is for low engine temp

neither will cause a no start.  feed some fuel into throttle body and crank, if it starts then most likey no spark.

Air, fuel, spark

Put a fuel pressure gauge on the rail and verify fuel pressure when keying on.
Use a timing light to verify spark when cranking
Use a scanner to verify air, temp, pressure (MAF) etc when cranking.
