Any advice on how to remove the 'oil filter bypass valve' on the 3.7L I5 engine? It's an AC DELCO #25014612, located in the oil filter base, visible once the oil filter is removed.

 

The shop manual states: "Using a suitable tool, pry the oil filter bypass valve from the engine block". Like what? It's down at the bottom of the bowl-shaped base under the filter.

 

The new one is simply pressed in.
