Recall N192282860 - software update for internal range sensor failure

Does anyone know what this addresses in the transmission? I have seen reports of a few folks not having the recall showing in the My GM center but then having it show when they get to the dealer.

Curious if this is for the 8 or 10 speeds.

Something about the transmission going into neutral if the range sensor has an error

Not really sure, but I do feel like the transmission has shifted better since the update.

Went in for the first oil change at 5016 miles on my 2020 Silverado RST and they said this needed to be updated on my truck. Over an hour later and they are sending me home with a loaner vehicle. Unable to get the update completed.
