Side view camera

On a 2020 GMC heavy duty with the surround cameras how does one activate the side view cameras that show the side view when turn signal is on. Thanks

You just have to have a trailer connected. Nothing else

You can view the cameras I think manually while driving for 7 seconds

You can buy one of these and plug it into the plug in your bed and just leave it there. Your screen will show the side view cameras when you turn on the blinkers if you do this but you will loose use of your parking sensors. ( I think that's it but not positive) Once you un plug it the sensors will work again. (Nothing has to be hooked up to the adapter. Just plug it in and thats it. This adapter works for some reason. Other ones I've tried dont)

U also lose cross traffic and something else was screwed up maybe blind spot....I tried it and didn't like it for daily driving but will use the adapter with led light trailers and if I'm gonna be on the highway for a long time be nice to see another POV for lane change

8 seconds and u have to open camera menu and click the camera it shows both sides split screen and cant do most of the views at driving speed
When using adapter/trailer it shows direction ur going in full screen

This view is more intended to see where ur trailer is as ur making a hard turn

You can view the split screen with no timeout while towing I do it all the time.

I think if you use the 7 to 4 pin adapter, (no outside 4 pin connection) the cameras will stay on. 

 

Don't forget to check your blinker fluid.
