Okay, this may sound a little crazy to some. I'm in the process of building a truck from the ground up using parts from a friends junkyard. Everything from the small junkyard is free ( I do mechanical work for him and he's my step brother, lol). So I have the frame and SM465 transmission from a 1976  Chevy C30 single cab long bed. Dana 60 axles and np205 from a 1975 GMC crew cab, long bed that originally had the 454 and TH400. And a tall deck 427 from a 1972 GMC school bus. I know there are much easier ways to doing things but all these pieces are in great shape and not to mention free, and I do enjoy modifying things to any extent. So let's skip the "it would be easier to..." Train of thought and pretend this absolutely had to be built in this specific configuration. So...1976 C30 frame and SM465 + 1975 K30 np205 and Dana 60 axles + 1972 tall deck 427.
