Hello group. My 2006 Silverado is at 81K miles and looking to get ready for the 90K service (Probably done early). Have had the truck since 31K miles and has had regular engine oil/filter changes, air filter as well.  Do not tow that often. So here is my list of items to complete.

1.      Lube complete all grease fittings.

2.      Engine oil and filter.

3.      Engine air filter inspection. Change if needed.

4.      Replace spark plugs and wires.

5.      Transmission filter/pan gasket and refill fluid to full.

6.      Transfer case fluid. Autotrax.

7.      Rear diff fluid with synthetic.

8.      Inspect front end while in air on hoist.

9.      Inspect everywhere underneath.

10.   Inspect belts, hoses, battery cables, pulleys, and wiper blades.

11.   Check all lights.

12.   Fill all fluids.

So here are the questions:

1.      Front diff fluid change. I see some put 75/90 gear oil and others place synthetic. I see there are white and black plastic? Vent covers. What fluid should I place?

2.      One of my switches on steering wheel that has LED lights in it does not work. How difficult are those to pull out and what could be wrong with it? Wire come off maybe as i think there are two lights in those things and if so entire switch out. I thought LED last forever LOL.

3.      No cabin filter if anyone wondering.

What have I missed?

check the brake lines for how rusty they may be.  also perhaps flush the brake fluid.

perhaps also change engine coolant

oh, yeah, pop the wheels off to rotate them, and check brake pads/rotors that they look ok.  Might consider removing the caliper pins and lubing them up (with proper brake lube, not chassis grease).

If your going all out go get a fuel injection service done and make sure you get the actual service where they clean through the fuel rail.

So here are the questions not answered as of yet:

1.      Front diff fluid change. I see some put 75/90 gear oil and others place synthetic. I see there are white and black plastic vent covers. What fluid should I place with what color?

2.      One of my switches on steering wheel that has LED lights in it does not work. How difficult are those to pull out and what could be wrong with it? Wire come off maybe as i think there are two lights in those things and if so entire switch out. I thought LED last forever LOL.
