So I’ve got my rig taken apart and ready to install the Readylift 2” lift kit, lower strut spacers. Here’s my problem - I can’t get the lower control arm to drop low enough to have room for the spacer between it and the strut. Anyone else run into this? Any suggestions on how I can get some more room down there?

Well, for anyone else doing this install themselves, easy solution... I had to remove the bottom nut from the sway bar link to allow the LCA to drop down. Just be sure to support the LCA as it drops to keep it from dropping too low and rapidly. Also be sure to free the half shaft from the hub so there is some play to prevent it from hyper-extending.

tried to install mine but had the same issue and noticed sway bar as mentioned above was stopping it and but I couldnt get the sway bar off guess I needed impact wrench because regular one just spun the nut and i couldnt find a way to grab it with anything else.

The sway bar link should come off easily without an impact gun. You just need to hold the top of it with some channel locks and be sure to be careful not to damage the boot while holding it steady. There isnt a ton of torque on the link itself, although I cannot remember the ft lb specs per GM.

Disconnect the sway bar and remove the hub nut from the axle.  You will have unlimited room at that point and its easy peasy.  For the sway bar linkage, you have to hold the bolt stud while you remove the nut, otherwise the entire nut/stud combo will spin.  Took me some time and profanities to figure that one out, lol.

Channel locks or vice grips work, but a small open ended wrench (cant remember the size) works just as well.
