QT6 on the new trucks is the power tailgate.  Dunno what QT6 is on a 2016 Sierra.
 
But whatever you do, don't cut the red wire.

Did you ever find out what it does. I found one in my 2021 Crosstrek. Same style connectors onto wires going into the fuse block.
