Any one out there swapped 2.9 four manual trans. with 3.6 six with manual trans. on 09 Colorado ?

Maybe but you likely won't find that person on here. That's a pretty unique swap.

 

Doing the work probably isn't that bad, it's just making it run that may lead to some adventures. The only way I see it working is if you got a complete drop out engine/transmission from a 3.6 camaro or something with a manual transmission. Plop all the wiring and computer from that car into yours and get it tuned to run.

 

Of course you won't really get to keep your other functions like the cluster or ABS/Stabilitrak. If you're super good with electronic you may be able to get some stuff in the cluster to work but if they operate on different can-bus communications it probably won't work. They make a Holley or Edge CTS digital dash though as another option.
