Flashbacks of having my Webers or a Quadrajet all apart on the bench.  Air correction jets, emulsion tubes, metering rods.  Rebuilding and tuning those things is a lost skill.

When I had my own shop there were three guys in town that did carb rebuilds and tuning. I was the Holley, Autolite, Motorcraft guy. The other two of course did Rochester and Carter. Another guy down in the Quad Cities did mechanical fuel injection and Weber/SU. That guy was magic.  We each did distributors for like makes for our carb specialty as well. We did not step on each others toes. I also did Tillotson, Amal and Keihin for bikes.

There is too much to learn to be all things to all people and do it well enough to be really good at it.
