1997 chevy c1500 sliverado

Ok guys need help. 

 

About 3 weeks ago my brother was driving my truck. He said it almost die on him but he made it home but it won't start. So i come home get the keys and starts right up.  I take it for a spin and coming up hills I have a loss of power and 3 seconds later powers back. Not sure whats happening. Runs fine on level ground and almost dies going up hill.

check fuel pressure, fuel pump could be going bad, you need over 55 lb fuel pressure

Maybe your MAF sensor or map sensor also there is a hose going in to the back of the intake manifold and if it is not ALL the way in it will be gutless

97 should have inline fuel filter and a filter screen on the fuel pump in the tank. Probably worth replacing both of these. It's not that bad! Peace
