Weathertech Weatherflectors

Back in the Spring, I bought 2 sets of these, one for my truck, one for my wifes Honda. I installed mine first and they were tight, but went in easily. When I did the Honda, I thought I was going to snap them in two because they were sooo tight. Well now I now why they were so tight. Hers are in there solid as a rock, mine will now fall out with the slightest tug. I called Weathertech and the guy told me that Silverado's are built with sloppy tolerances on the window openings. He say's you can measure yours and another guys and they can be off by 1/8 inch or more! :puke: He sent me some tape to put along the edge and stick them back in. I bought these because there was NO TAPE USED! How long before the tape loses it's tack and they are loose again? So much for "precision crafted in Germany". I was lucky to find out how loose they were while cleaning them in my driveway instead of watching them dissapear down the highway! :thumbs:

:thumbs: I just sold my 1990 K2500Z71 and it had tape holding mine on for years with no trouble. :puke:

I have them on my 99 silv. sportside Z71 and they are fine as well. :lol::D

i noticed mine too were loose upon installation

he said they had a lifetime war but not if one flew off

so i took a tube of silicone and ran a bead in the extreme

corner and re-installed it , rolled up the windows for 2 days

i don't think i could get them off if i tried :thumbs::puke::lol:

I have the Ventvisor brand, and they are held on by 2-face tape... They are rock-solid after 2+ years and some cold winters!!! :thumbs:
