Front Diff Help

I could not get my 4WD to work and started to investigate. I found the thrust washer on passenger side bent so i tried to flatten it out and reuse.

 

After looking a little farther I found this in the gear and am concerned it has done some damage along with the small hole on the left side.

 

 

I was curious if anyone else has seen this or has any pointer on if its better to replace the whole differential carrier or replace and fix the broken parts? thank you for your time.

I would just get another diff at a junkyard (w the correct ratio) and swap it in.  Maybe replace the bearings/seals at each end (where the axle's come out) before putting it in.

are those cracks i see all around the housing , yes replace it , and figure out why it happened and fix the cause, is your truck lifted , maybe too much angle on axle shafts
