It really all depends on why you want a lift. For show? Fit bigger tires, offroad ability? Daily drive/some offroad?

A good reliable lift that will get you up to 3 inches is a set of either Icon or King shock coilovers, an upgraded upper control arm (stay away from rough country), and if budget permits a good lower control arm from baja kits. That'll make trail riding easier and you're not going to break stuff as often as you would with a basic lift kit.
