Hey guys got a 2017 Chevy Suburban LT with the 5.3 (posting in the Silverado section for the higher amount of foot traffic). It has 83k miles on it and have a knock noise on the bottom back of the engine block, seems to be right above the transmission. It’s loud an only happens during acceleration mainly from stop to getting up to speed. Once up to speed I no longer here it. It’s loud enough it can be heard when my wife leaves and dives down the road. I just had my torq convertor replaced 5k ago and know it’s not a stuck lifter, as I have heard that before on these trucks. Noise has been present for some time but it’s really starting to bother and worry me now. Really not sure what it is but pretty sure it’s not the injector pump as it’s seems way to loud to be that. I don’t believe it’s exhaust related unless it’s up on the manifold. I’m looking for some possibilities for diagnostic before taking it to the dealership and then having it for 3 days and charging me out the arse. I will try to get video up shorty.

I've also checked out the pin topics for answers and didn't see the same issues there as my noise always appeared to be louder and different in nature.

Did it start after you had the torque converter fixed?

Noise was present before torque converter was repaired.  TC never actually failed however I had the condenser replaced and transmission fluid had evidence that the TC was going back.  Below is a video of the noise.  Noise is not present at idle, only at acceleration mainly from stop to getting up to speed.

Can you make the noise happen when sitting in park and raising the engine rpms?

If this doesn't make the noise happen I would say trans related.

If it was engine related it would do it all the time IMO.

Yes video posted above is while in park and the engine itself runs quite while at idle but when raising RPMs the noise becomes present. I’m almost positive it’s not a lifter. Also no check engine light and besides the noise the vehicle runs good.

Might be the normal noise a high pressure fuel pump makes. I wonder if the noise the fuel pump makes gets louder with more miles?

There are a few youtube videos on this

Man it’s real loud like can be heard while my wife pulls out the driveway prob 50-60 yards away. It could be the fuel pump but it just seems way too loud for that. But if they do get more noisy with age that could be possible, I’ll check into it.
