Probably gonna remove the blocks between the axle and the leaf springs. But I want to see how it sits and rides with camper hooked up and my bike loaded in the bed.

@mysery1 this’ me w/ the GM specific tires 285/45/22 for 22 inch wheels on a Belltech 1012SP Lowering kit 4/6 drop.. originally I had bigger tires which were 285/50/22 that rubbed up front & was way too bouncy; now it’s way better!

Nice to know about the tire size, thanks.

Nice truck. I did not know what the factory size was for 22's. I believe mine came from the factory with 20's as that is what is on the sticker on the B column.

What size spare tire comes with a truck that came from the factory with 22's? The spare on my truck is a 17.

Thank you very much.

Scan the QR code in the drivers side door jamb, should tell what wheels it came with. RPO code.

Yea, 17 should be the correct size, they are not going to give you an extra 20 or 22.

So I scanned the QR code and the truck originally came with 20's. I want to run LT tires for towing so I'm going to go back to the 20's. If 18's will fit I would consider putting a set of those on.

It looks like I'm going with 18's as I have a better selection of tires. I want something with a fairly stiff sidewall when towing. The truck has 2" belltech drop spindles installed but this shouldn't be a problem per the installation instructions.

I found a set of 20" takeoffs with 275/60R20 tires. I never liked the 22's that came with the truck. With a 2/3 drop and a tire diameter about 1 1/2 larger than 22's I like the look. The ride quality seems fine with a little more road noise which I expected due to more aggressive tread pattern and not being P rated. I have also had no issues with anything rubbing.
