Looking for more sidewall/comfort, I'm leaning towards 275/60/20's to replace the OEM 22's.

Michelin Defenders, being .4" skinnier, .9" taller, and 1.5" more sidewall.

I considered Michelin LTX's in a 285/55 size, but I don't need an A/T tire, plus they were pricier.

The taller 275/60's will read 1 mph low at 35, and 2 mph low at 70.

Dealer says they can't re-calibrate the speedo...I say WTF? ?

Am I on the right track? Anybody with a similar swap?

Thanks in advance...

I did 275 65 20 on a 2.25 level on mine. Used a diablo tuner to recalibrate. Dealer won't touch that stuff probably because in theory it could be considered tampering with the odometer if calibrated wrong lol. Idk the actual reason but just an assumption. Likely GM wouldn't honor a warranty. I had 285 45 22 and they sucked. Looked pretty, but thats all. I was furious after I curbed one due to a sun glare... couldn't see the damn curb.

Yes, I guess I do see the "tampering" possibility when provided by the dealer.

By the speedo reading a hair low, the advantage is with me...so there is that!
