2000 tahoe, w/ 40k, and some mornings, ill come out and start it up, and the airbag light will not go out........ after i park and get back in the light goes out, seems to do it more when the temp is under 50 degrees. my waranty is gone, is it just a matter of clearing codes out of the computer, or is it somethin in need to have looked at.

I did a search on Google and from what I have read you might want to get it checked out. Various others have had problems with the cold weather and it turned out to be a bad sensor. Never hurts to get it checked. GM states that if the light is on your system can malfunction and not go off when needed or go off unintentional. Either way you might want to get it checked. I know it is a pain in the rear but better safe than sorry. You would be able to post on here what you find and help others later down the road if they have the same problem.

I'm always scared of the air bag since I wear glasses, makes you wonder what would happen when that thing hits you in the face? Do your glasses imbed in your face from the force? Not a good thing but better than what could happen without the air bag I guess.
