Paul Trahon Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 No start with key. It clicks like dead battery. Use remote and it starts. Also info screen is blank and lose all radio presets IF it starts to display. Dealer had no clue.
Yotaman Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Interesting ! Guessing the key switch since it does start just not with key. Keep us updated. yotaman
Paul Trahon Posted November 21, 2020 Author Posted November 21, 2020 Key switch works as the relay clicks to start but it sounds like a dead battery. Provides electric to dash and all lights. Trying to upload a video.
JimCost2014 Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Original battery? I do not think there is a dealer anywhere that has ever found a bad battery in one of the trucks.
Paul Trahon Posted November 21, 2020 Author Posted November 21, 2020 My 2017 has 2. Both checked out ok at the dealer today. Plenary of electrical power. Just intermittently (can’t get it to do it) can’t start. Might not happen for another month or so.

Yea, the battery checked out perfect at the dealer just minutes after we hit it twice with a jump box on the way there in our 16 Tahoe. Wife would not leave without a new battery, no problems since. These trucks need clean power, or else all kinds of gremlins start happening.
Paul Trahon Posted November 21, 2020 Author Posted November 21, 2020 Maybe the least expensive way to go is to replace the batteries.
