towing from the front

I stuck my truck in a muddy field.  Discovered that it is impossible to pull it out from the front.

What am I missing?

Do you have two tow hooks under the front bumper?

Rear receiver hitch with clevis and Bubba rope or log chains and a tractor?

That's the problem. No. tow hooks. and if there were there where I thought they'd be, I'd have to remove the front bumper to get to them.
