Good Morning,

I had a weird issue this past weekend and wondering if anyone has ran into the same...

I was backing out of our inclined drive way a few days ago and as i was backing up, i was braking slowly, towards the end, i needed to apply excess force onto the brake pedal in order to brake (kind of as if the truck were off, that you pump it a few times and requires alot of pressure)...once that excess pressure was applied, i could hear a noise coming from what seemed, some electrical component in the front driver side of the truck, and brake would start to pulse as that noise was happening.

Not really sure how else to explain it...2017 Silverado with Lane Keep Assist/Emergency Braking...if that helps any.

Sounds like the brake vacuum pump going bad. I believe there's a recall on this. I know on my '17, the dealer did a recall fix.

Check this video out. Several videos about this on yputube
