Well got a new tail light from Frankie. Great to deal with.
However, that didn’t help with my hyper flash.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Was this fixed? I have the same issue with hyper flash starting on 4th blink. I bought and installed a resistor and no change.

Hey everyone. I am still having an issue with Hyper Flash with my 2016 Denali. It comes stock with LEDs. I didn’t change bulbs or anything. Something happened one day about 6 months ago. Just happened. I am hoping someone might be able to help. Dealer here is saying a new board. That is $1000 plus Installation. Help! TIA

Sorry to hear the problem is still present.

 

Could you be more detailed in the term "board"? Do you have a work order quote from them with the actual description of the "board"? Might help some help you.

Actually I don’t. While at the dealer, the mechanic told me this is what he thought was the solution. Also the price for the board was about 1k.
I didn’t want to spend that without knowing for sure.

If they can not even provide the actual name of the part, I would personally find another lot who is not just trying to take advantage of you.

 

Ask for details, where is it located, what does it control, is it covered under any warranties, can they show you where it is, so you can take a picture?

Just for the hell of it I would try slicing in a 50w 6 ohm load resistor. This is what you do for trucks that come with incandescent taillights rather than LED. LED take way less power to light. So you need to trick the computer into thinking the led taillights are taking just as much power. Sounds like your computer is misreading the power running through the light. You can buy a 2 pack on Amazon for $20
