V6 performance Mods

Has anybody done any performance mods to their 4.3 V6? I would appreciate if you did tell me what you thought of them. Especially 1999's. Thanks in advance.

I would probably look into a programmer or Wester's PCM. Also, maybe an exhaust system (although tricky to do on the V6 w/o making it sound like a ricer) coupled with an air intake and K&N air filter. It'll never be a speed demon, but those things might help increase power a little and give you a few more MPG.
