Entertainment Problem

Hello...  2018 GMC Sierra 5.3L engine.

 

Today, while out on an appt, received an incoming phone call on the cab entertainment console.  Knowing it was scam number, I cancelled the call but then a strange alarm came thru at the same time that did not resolve.  The alarm would not subside.  I cut the engine and removed my key but the alarm continued.  Closed my door but still continued.  I then attempted to power off the console but now the sound system was frozen.  The alarm finally stopped but the radio was still frozen.  A couple more attempts to power the console off/on still had a frozen display.  I did get my preset stations but you could not navigate to any stations.  No sound to speakers.

 

I then took my truck to my GMC dealer where I then setup for an appt in a week.  Upon leaving the store, I started my truck and now the entertainment console was working just fine.  Placed a phone call with no problems.

 

Might GM be aware of this problem?  The service agent stated that the system may need a hard reset but that they could not handle today hence my appt.

These radios are garbage. Gm's feeble attempt and something gd. Imo, they dropped the ball. The radio gets a glitch and locks up, had it happen a couple times.
