JP Customs Steering Wheel Audio Kit question

Recommended Posts

Posted

I want to buy this kit, but I had a question before I do. I sent an email to JP Customs, but I thought I might get my answer here too...

Does anyone know if you can change between sources (CD, radio FM1, FM2, AM, tape) from the controls (perhaps the Prog button?) from the controls, or do you have to do it from the radio itself still?

And...

When flipping through the preset stations, does it scan through ALL presets or just the band your on (FM1, FM2)? If it doesn't scan them all, not a problem if the answer to the first question is yes...

I'm just trying to understand how much functionality I gain...

Thanks.

PROG button only cycles through the presets FM1 and then FM2 or AM settings. The buttons do not cycle through the tape, CD, AUX, FM, AM though. These will still have to be set manually on the radio. Hope that helps.

Yep. I instalelled the kit last spring and have been very happy with it. Jason does a great job with the kit and instructions, even a Hacktree Mechanic can do it
