02 Envoy Headlights

Is it me, am I getting old and can't see at night? My envoy has the worst headlights I've ever seen. On dim they barely light the road.

 

Has anyone upgraded the bulbs? Any other suggestions. I have had them aimed, but that only helped marginally.

I upgraded my '03 Envoy to Sylvania Silverstar 9005 and 9006 bulbs. Very satisfied.

I went with 100w XD5 blubs. whiter and alot brighter and use the same power as stock. I checked with an amp meter

is there any way to adjust the headlights? it appears that the headlights in my '03 envoy are just pointed too low. I dont see a way in the manaul to adjust them though.

 

my silverado has adjustment, was hoping this truck does too. otherwise, how did the silverstars and XD5's hold up??
