Anyone using the Curt Multi-pro tailgate sensor? Looking for a solution so my kids or friends don’t open the top section while a hitch is in the receiver. Not sure if I need a 2 1/2” or 2” sensor when using the 2” adapter insert. Anyone used the curt device with success and can help with the size?

I know it’s not related to your sensor question but if you haven’t seen these tow n stow hitch’s from B&W you may want to check them out, they work with the multipro tailgates and doesn’t matter if your hitch is in or not it won’t hit it.

Thanks for sharing the hitch link. I may get one of those the boat trailer.  The reason I’m going with a switch is for the travel trailer hitch with weight distribution.  I’m just waiting for someone to drop the upper section on that large hitch before I pull it at a camp site.  Also don’t always want to pull the hitch if it’s a one night trip or similar.
