Has any one had problems with the 3rd brake light leaking after replacing the brake light bulb? Mine needs replaced and I'm a little nervous to change it that it my start leaking.

My 2007 leaked from there several times, and was "fixed" several times. Had a swimming pool under my feet.

They finally replaced the entire housing + new gasket which fixed it, eventually.

My 2016 hasn't demonstrated this problem as of yet.

New gasket and an LED bulb is what I would do.

Might already be moisture in there and the bulb failed because of that.

Its not so much the seal that fails, the plastic lens is what will develop a crack and let water into the lamp, then your headliner.  The GMT-900s were notorious for water leaks.  The screws were overtorqued from the factory and then over time from body flex it would crack the lens.

If the seal on the lamp is bad, its only serviced as the lamp assembly.

What's crazy is the dealership wanted 47.00 dollars to change bulb. I stopped at napa and got bulb for 1.49. I had it in for transmission drain and filer change and they found it was out. Mine does not leak now so I may just leave it.

You can purchase a replacement gasket on Amazon, which is a lot thicker than the original was and it will fix your issue. I've gone through the same when I replaced/swapped out my bulbs a few times.
