1994 Yukon 2 door

Hi. Am interested in buying a 94 Yukon and was looking for any input from the forum. Interior and exterior is like new. Has 145,000 miles. My main concern is the oil pressure. The gauge only reads about 10-20 both idling and accelerating. Seems kinda low to me. Is this normal? Has a 350 engine that I assume is factory original. My other question is a decal. It has a Z71 decal on the rear panel. Was there a Z71 package offered on a 2 door 94 model or did somebody just stick this on? Many thanks for any advice.

As far as the oil pressure, it could be a faulty sending unit, etc... As long as it don't knock or smoke, it will work for you

As far as a Z71, make sure by opening the glove-box door and sseing if there is a Z71 option code on the original option code list. If not, then somebody may have threw some stickers on it.

With this many miles, check:

oil cooler lines

idler arm/ball joints

body mounts

intake manifold gaskets(visual)

water pump

Don't spend more than $5k-6k

:sigh:

My 92 is a factory Z71, so it's a safe bet that they offered them in 94.

Like 02 Silverado Z71 said, idler arm/balljoints. Mine have needed replaced. I am also on my 3rd radiator. Check the end caps and hoses on the radiator for corrosion. New radiator will run you $200+ if you do your own work.

Don't know about the body mounts.

As far as price....Around here, a 94 in great shape.....Prices will start at 6k, and go up from there.

I could most likely get 6-7k for my 92.

Just my .02
