Noticed my truck has an axle tube leak at the diff. haven't noticed any drops, just wetness around the area. only discovered it when the truck was up on the alignment rack.
wondering what the best course of action will be. let the dealer deal with it, fix it myself, weld, JB Weld....???

Clean it off really good and see how fast it comes back.  Not sure why it would leak there unless there is a crack or pin hole.

If it comes back as bad take it in.  Are you still under warranty?

yep, it's under warranty. only 7500 miles on it.

never had an issue with any of the AAM axles I have had. All on GM trucks starting in 2001

got the truck into the dealer yesterday..

the fix is to replace the whole rearend. apparently GM has tried various fixes and nothing really worked

10-14 days to get it in, then the truck goes back to the dealer for r&r
